Dr. Setareh Jamali Jaghdani
Dr. Setareh Jamali Jaghdani successfully carried out her PhD research at IAPN between January 2018 and July 2021. Afterwards, until April 2022, she worked as a postdoctoral scientist at our institute. Her research focused on the role of magnesium in photosynthesis and photoprotection. more
Wael Alyoussef
Wael Alyoussef worked as a technical assistant at IAPN from August 2019 until June 2021. He assisted in the project “The application of digital and sensing methods in plant nutrition” coordinated by Dr. Paulo Cabrita. more
Prof. Dr. Merle Tränkner
From June 2017 until May 2021, Merle Tränkner was junior professor for “Applied Plant Nutrition” at IAPN and at the Department of Crop Sciences at the University of Göttingen. In addition to research and teaching, her professorship included heading the junior research group at IAPN. more
Dr. Ariel Turcios
Ariel Turcios worked as a postdoctoral scientist at IAPN from January 2019 until September 2020. He supported the teaching in the field of applied plant nutrition and supervised scientific work as well as research projects. more
Dr. Annika Lingner
Annika Lingner was a Ph.D. student and scientist at IAPN from September 2014 until April 2019. Her PhD project as well as her postdoc work at IAPN were part of the collaborative research project IMPAC3. more

Dr. Melanie Hauer-Jákli worked at the IAPN from May 2018 until April 2019. She focussed on the project “Evaluation of critical nutrient concentrations”. more
Dr. Juliane Dao
Dr. Juliane Dao worked as a research assistant at the IAPN between August and October 2018. She was responsible for teaching in the field of applied plant nutrition and held the lecture "Plant Nutrition Meets Plant Physiology" in cooperation with Juniorprofessor Dr. Merle Tränkner. more
Dr. Bálint Jákli
Bálint Jákli was a Ph.D. student at IAPN from April 2013 to December 2016. His Ph.D. studies focused on the impacts of mineral plant nutrients, especially potassium, on water-use efficiency of crop plants. more
Dr. Ershad Tavakol
Ershad Tavokol was a Ph.D. student at IAPN from April 2013 until December 2016. He studied the extent of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and the antioxidant activity of plants under drought and nutrient deficiency conditions. more
Dr. Birgit Pfeiffer
Birgit Pfeiffer was employed at the IAPN in the time from October 2015 until December 2015. She investigates the role of microbial communities and their diversity in agricultural soils in terms of an effective nutrition of plants and the emission of greenhouse gases such as N2, N2O or CH4. more
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Senbayram
Mehmet Senbayram was Junior Professor at IAPN from June 2012 to July 2015. In August 2015 he took on a professorship at the Institute for Plant Nutrition and Soil Science at Harran University in Sanliurfa, Turkey. more
