- Tingting Liu starts PhD project on magnesium and drought stress

Lílian Angélica Moreira, PhD student from Brazil, successfully completed her research at IAPN. The topic of her project was “Physiological changes in nitrogen metabolism as a result of Mo resupply”. Her research was supervised by Junior Professor Dr. Merle Tränkner. more

From March to October 2020, Brazilian PhD student Lílian Angélica Moreira of São Paulo University (USP) is a guest scientist at IAPN. During this period, she will be working on the project entitled “Physiological changes in nitrogen metabolism as a result of Mo resupply”. more

- IAPN publication recognized as “Top Downloaded Paper”

Publisher Wiley congratulates Jun. Prof. Dr. Merle Tränkner on the success of her article on potassium and magnesium in photosynthesis and photoprotection. It was recognized as one of the most read papers in "Physiologia Plantarum" among works published between January 2018 and December 2019. Co-authors are Dr. Ershad Tavakol and Dr. Bálint Jákli. more

- Dr. Rolf Härdter Appointed as New Managing Director of IAPN

As of April 22nd 2020, Dr. Rolf Härdter is the new managing director of IAPN. The head of Agronomy & Advisory at K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH will be responsible for the institute together with Professor Dr. Klaus Dittert, the scientific director of IAPN. more

- 10 Years “Sustainable International Agriculture – SIA”

In a special edition on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Master program SIA, Göttingen University’s faculty magazine "agrar aktuell" published an article by Jun. Prof. Dr. Merle Tränkner about her research work. As a SIA alumnus, Merle Tränkner gives an example for a PhD as a next step after the Master degree. more

- Potassium Management in Uruguay

Recently in numerous crops in Uruguay, symptoms of potassium deficiency are observed more frequently. Prof. Dr. Mónica Barbazán from the Universidad de la República in Uruguay is one of the leading researchers on K in the South American country.
