Ulrike Kierbaum

Ulrike Kierbaum started working as a technical assistant at IAPN in July 2013.

 

In a major part of her work, she provides support to graduate and PhD students of IAPN within their research projects. This covers preparing and conducting plant experiments in growth chambers and in the greenhouse as well as laboratory analytics. She works on a number of instruments for mineral element analysis like ICP-OES but her main focus is on is on measurements of toxic reactive oxygen species ROS in plant tissues and on activity assays of ROS detoxifying enzymes.
